About the Role
Our client is a prestigious, top ranking institution in the education space based in Ultimo NSW. They are currently seeking a Payroll Consultant specialised in Remediation projects to come in and join them on a 6 month temp contract with potential for extension.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Previous payroll remediation project experience
- Extensive relevant experience and knowledge of employee and payroll specific legislation
- Proficiency in financial analysis, data modelling, specialist model skills, remediation and other project skills
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills related to the analysis and interpretation of regulations, and implementation of policies
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead Payroll Remediation Workstreams: Oversee the end-to-end remediation process, ensuring all activities align with complex industrial instruments, Fair Work legislation, and internal policies.
- Complex Financial Modeling: Oversee and validate accurate remediation calculations delivered through a sophisticated, multi-layered data model.
- Audit & Regulatory Management: Prepare for and manage scrutiny from external auditors and the NSW Auditor-General’s Office (NSWAGO), ensuring all documentation is compliant and transparent.
- Technical Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing specialist advice on intricate business practices and complex industrial relations challenges.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Prioritize and lead the review of complex calculation models to identify and resolve discrepancies within provider-supplied templates.
- High-Stakes Communication: Manage and support highly sensitive employee inquiries regarding pay adjustments, maintaining confidentiality and empathy throughout the process.
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify and quantify the impact of underlying business issues to provide data-driven insights that inform the broader program’s strategic decisions.
About You
You will be an experienced Payroll Remediation Consultant with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Previous payroll remediation project experience
- Extensive relevant experience and knowledge of employee and payroll specific legislation
- Proficiency in financial analysis, data modelling, specialist model skills, remediation and other project skills
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills related to the analysis and interpretation of regulations, and implementation of policies
